The REACH (Reggio Emilia in Asia for Children) conference, which took place in Shanghai, China on 25 and 26 November 2023, drew over 500 delegates from various regions across Asia and China.

During the conference, Mr Cristian Fabbi, President of Reggio Children, shared with the participants about the collaboration between EtonHouse International Education Group and Reggio Children in Singapore and China, ” It is a great step for us and an important agreement, because it will allow us to be present with our original message in Asia, and to be able to get in touch with all the colleagues in the region and bring the original Reggio Emilia approach with all the initiatives that we are planning, which are connected to the professional development and the capacitation of educators in the in the region. We want really to express our pleasure and our will to cooperate with our partner and bring possibilities of professional development for the educating community and be able to work together to give the children a better start in life . 

The heart of the conference beat to the rhythm of trilingual brilliance, guided by the expertise of Ms. Marina Mori, Tutor Teacher of Reggio Children, and Ms. Paola Strozzi, Pedagogista at Reggio Children. Their generous insights into the Reggio Emilia Approach painted a vivid picture of innovation and inspiration. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Jane McCall for her exceptional translation, ensuring that the richness of our speakers’ insights reached every participant.

We were honored to have Professor Zhu Jia Xiong, a distinguished figure from the Faculty of Education at East China Normal University, as our esteemed guest speaker. Recognized as a pioneer in introducing the Reggio Emilia Approach to China, Professor Zhu shared his invaluable perspective that will undoubtedly shape the future of education.

Delegates were thoroughly inspired by the presentations, discussions, and exhibitor displays.
